Lidgard Boatyard of Auckland, New Zealand, built and launched FIDELIS in 1964. She is a fast and beautiful boat with an impressive racing record. As is the way of aging boats she required an extensive refit in 2005. Noakes Yard of Newcastle replaced her deck, deck beams, floors, keel and engine; while also refairing and refinishing her hull. Owner Nigel Stoke, who bought her in 1993 after chartering her for the 50th Sydney-to-Hobart race, now sails her out of Sydney, Australia.
